l Rey Inn has offered fine Santa Fe lodging for 70 years! Built in 1936 in traditional northern New Mexico adobe style, El Rey Inn was then referred to as a motor court. The inn is located on what was originally Route 66. Locally owned and managed by the Terrell White family since 1973, El Rey remains Santa Fe's garden spot as the city grows around its 5 acres. Visitors appreciate El Rey's mid-town location as they explore museums, shop and gallery hop, delight in the Santa Fe Opera, golf at Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe, and ski and snowboard at Santa Fe Ski Basin. The College of Santa Fe and its popular Greer Garson Theatre are El Rey's neighbors, as are Paolo Soleri Amphitheatre and the New Mexico School for the Deaf. Albuquerque's International Airport is approximately one hour south of the inn.
